Wildlife and Aliens

Wildlife and Aliens considers the wildlife of the river including alien species. Part of the programme of events accompanying its major summer exhibition "River Weaver - a meander through time" which opens on Wednesday 12 July charting the story of how the river has shaped local history. This event runs from 10.45am to 2.30pm with a break for lunch (not included). Tickets cost £5.00 (Museum Members £4.00) for the morning and afternoon sessions and £3.50 (Museum Members £2.50) for a single session (morning or afternoon).

Community Family Fun Day & 50th Anniversary Golden Jubilee Celebration

NTCG, The Lighthouse Centre, Crewe is hosting a Community Family Fun Day as part of our Golden Jubilee Celebration to mark 50 years of ministry and service to the community from our location in Stewart Street. This event will begin at 12pm until 4pm. Lots of fun activities are planned for the day, including Bouncy Castle, BBQ, Music, Games etc. There would be food, cakes, ice cream and other things on sale and all proceeds will go towards fundraising towards our Building Project.  I would like to encourage you to come along and invite your family friends and community networks.

And what a better way to celebrate than to join OMG Mascots for some summer time fun! Join the pups and pj heroes for a photo opportunities, games, dancing and more in this one of special summer event! Tickets are sold on a first come, first serve basis, £5 kids and £2.50 adults. Please note this is a small scale event so we are limited to 35 children. We strongly recommend buying tickets before the day. The Sydney Arms 5th Annual Transport Show 2017

The Sydney Arms is hosting its 5th Transport Show and set to be its biggest yet. We welcome all cars and bikes of the decades from old vintage to modern day classics. Bikes, scooters and trikes all welcome. Hot rods and custom builds the more the merrier! We welcome back California Blue who will be performing this year along with Artizan who will also be playing live! Wings and things will be supporting the event with their birds of prey and other wonderful animals, snakes and creepy crawlies. There will be a face painter here all day along with hot food and bouncy castles.

Junk Art Day

As part of this year’s Summer Reading Challenge Nantwich Library will be hosting a very special Junk Art day with the team from Junk Art Creations on Tuesday 15th August. It promises to be a fantastic day of imagination based around this year’s challenge theme 'Animal Agents'.  There are two sessions to choose from at either 2.00 – 3.00pm or 3.30 – 4.30pm. Tickets are charged at £3 per child and booking is essential.

As part of the Heritage project we will be holding Crewe's 2nd Horticultural Show. This will take place on 19th August at our annual Family Fit And Fun Day in Queens Park. There will be all the usual categories for fruit and vegetables plus more fun elements such as 'Garden in a Wine Glass' and 'Miniature Garden on a Tray'. Bear Grylls Style Adventure Day

Tatton Park Gardens, Mereheath Drive, Knutsford, Cheshire, WA16 6QN.

Aimed at young carers in Macclesfield, Congleton, Crewe, Winsford, Middlewich, Northwich. Your adventure takes place on the edge of Delamere Forest with activities that Bear Grylls (who amongst other things is Chief Scout) has tried out. These will include crawling through a cave-bus, balancing your way across a low ropes course and taking the climbing wall challenge (only if you want). Lunch will be provided and there will be snacks and drinks throughout the day. Pick up/drop off points are available in Chester & Ellesmere Port town centre.
