Nantwich Concert Band

Nantwich Food Festival, Nantwich.

A performance by Nantwich Concert Band. The Concert Wind Band was founded in 1983 (then called Nantwich & District Band) for woodwind and brass players of all ages. We offer a varied repertoire of music, from the traditional wind band pieces through to more modern pieces and music from stage and screen. Under the baton of our conductor and Musical Director Nick Birch, the band performs at local fêtes, festivals and carnivals throughout the summer.

Asian Serendipity

Asian Serendipity is an exhibition by Aneta Talbot in the Your Space Gallery at Nantwich Museum, featuring a myriad of selected images taken during recent travel across Asia focused on Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, India and Sri Lanka. The exhibition runs until Saturday 21 October. Photographer Aneta Talbot, who now lives in Nantwich, spent nearly 20 years living in Singapore. During that time she travelled extensively across Asia exploring her passion for photographing the daily lives and rich variety of cultures of the region. This exhibition presents some of the best of her photographs.

The Great British Food Festival

The Great British Food Festival is back at the stunning Arley Hall and Gardens this September 23rd and 24th. The festival is even bigger and better this year, with more food and drink stalls, along side a new gift and craft marquee.  Crowd favourites the Chef Demo tent and Men V Food Challenge stage will also be back. The recipe for the weekend, take over eighty top artisan producers, a big serving of stunning hot food, real ale and wine bars, add a dash of craft and gift stalls, lots of activities for the kids, top chef demos from Great British Bake Off bakers, stir in a cake competition and the popular Men V’s Food, with lashings of excellent live music and mix together to make a lovely foodie family day out.

Sold Screening

On Monday the 25th of September in Nantwich Civic hall there will be a free showing of the film SOLD. This is the harrowing story of a girl from Nepal who is sold into the sex trade. The film showing will be followed by presentations and an open discussion with the Slavery in Cheshire panel. Bar and information stands open at 6pm. Film show begins at 7pm. Contact sinantwich@btinternet.com to reserve a place. There is no charge for the evening but any donations will go to help those suffering from slavery in Nepal and Cheshire.
